Marin Clarkberg, Ph.D.

Marin Clarkberg is the Associate Vice Provost of Institutional Research & Planning at Cornell University.  In addition to overseeing Cornell’s office of Institutional Research & Planning, Marin serves as Cornell’s Accreditation Liaison Officer with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Marin has served on more than a dozen visiting teams for Middle States and other university accrediting bodies in the US and abroad.  She has held leadership roles in consortia related to institutional improvement, such with the Association of American Universities Data Exchange and the Consortium on Financing Higher Education. She presents and consults nationally and internationally on institutional assessment and data-informed decision-making. Marin has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago and has held faculty appointments in the department of Sociology at Cornell.
